FOUNDATION
Jan Kossakowski Foundation was founded on 15th October 2008 based on a notarial document by Zofia Kossakowska-Szanajca, professor’s daughter. At that time she was one of his three children – Barbara and Eustachy had passed away earlier, but the Foundation’s establishment should also be assigned to them. All three, by the way they lived, were bearing witness to the incredible heritage that fate bestowed on them in the form of exceptional, humanistic culture which is fading away in the world of individual interest and civilisation of mobile phones.
Today, successors of these magnificent people have the obligation to share the spiritual and material heritage left by Jan Kossakowski with those who need it or those to whom it will be a great support.
We’re going to organise art auctions, at which we will sell professor’s beautiful and precious paintings. We will make the most to enable Artists to share their joy and freedom of creation with young people who, because of an illness or a disability, suffer from exclusion from fantastic opportunities of self-fulfillment which the contemporary world offers us.
